Program Sessions

Our ladies only sessions are taken by an accredited coach who will help you with various cycling skills and working out what motivates YOU.

  • Monday - 5:30am to 7:00am - Ladies only ride + coffee after (indoor ride if there is wet weather)
  • Tuesday - 5:30pm to 6:45pm - Ladies only indoor class in the evenings
  • Unlimited access to Activ's state of the art training facility for indoor and outdoor rides

Program Details

What is "The Riverloop"?

The riverloop is a classic Brisbane ride of approximately 30km around the scenic Brisbane river - with a focus strictly on skills and enjoyment.

We ride as slow as the slowest rider (from 20-25km/hr). We may split up into ability levels for part of the ride to work on specific skills.

Like all Activ rides - we have a "no rider left behind" policy

Why do I need this program?

The aim of this program is to have a ladies only ride which is safe, social and supportive. Catering for all levels, this ride focusses on skills for safer road riding, enjoyment and achieving individual goals.

Why should I ride?

Riding is a safe and fun way of staying healthy and making friends.

Time and time again we see ladies who have had limited success in gyms or riding their bikes alone - when they ride with Activ they are taken care of, have their skills nurtured and are given achievable goals that they can readily work towards.

By the end of your first month we will help you identify achievable goals to work towards.

For example, being able to ride with Activ's social group on a Friday morning.

What skills will be covered?

Each week will see a different focus, there is no fixed schedule for these skills as the coach will identify the best skill for the riders present.

  • Braking
  • Descending
  • Standing on hills
  • Changing a flat
  • Bunch riding
  • Advanced observation
  • Eating and drinking on the bike

What is included?

  • Two dedicated ladies only sessions per week - Monday morning ride and Tuesday evening class
  • Unlimited access to Activ’s state of the art training facility for indoor training and outdoor rides
  • Rides and classes led by a Nationally Accredited Coach
